Thankful for the Pieces.

So it’s Monday and on Friday something hard happened. I wish I could give you details and when I know the ending–whether it is truly bad or that 5% of hope works out–I can share it but for now I cannot. As I write this, I am still within my 48 hour wallowing period I allowed myself but as this is posted, it’s Monday and so that period is over. Also, I’ve been documenting on Instagram these little pieces of the new apartment that are making me happy. Because when you get a sad phone call, and then you look over at your desk or your curtains (see instagram) it makes everything a bit less sad. So here is a little peek for you of the pieces. You can always see the rest on the ole IG.

And don’t miss the ladies below because they are some of my favorites!piecesofmovingHere ya go:
christina-route-bliss-december-2015One: Hello! I’m Christina, the blogger behind the scenes at Route Bliss, where I share about my travels as well as other things I’m passionate about.

Two: While this isn’t a self portrait, I am about to wrap up year two of monthly self portraits when I share my December one next week.

Three: I started blogging about my summer roadtrip to California & Oregon back in October; its gonna take a while to share all the places that we visited :) You can catch up here with the most recent post about our stop at the Painted Desert Inn.

Four: Last month I shared a past microadventure of mine to Georgetown, which is near Austin, Texas. The Southwestern University campus is my favorite thing about Georgetown

Five: With the new year on the horizon, I shared some ideas on getting your finances in order that I’m doing myself right now.

Six: Earlier this month I wrapped up my Starting a Portrait Photography business series on the blog. I also regularly share how-to’s about other topics within photography and editing as well.

Seven: This handsome fella answers to Sherlock. He, however, does not like bowties as I discovered recently. More photos of him and his brother will be on the blog just in time for Christmas …

Eight: Last week as well as this week, I’m sharing holiday decor photos on Instagram from my hometown, the one I work in, and a few others I’ve passed through over the last few years, like this door in a Central Texas town. PS, my favorite hashtag of the holiday season has become #putawreathonit as I’ve been snapping lots of wreath photos lately!

Nine: While we’re on the subject of holiday decor, I lucked out when I visited Luckenbach, Texas several years ago — you’ll have to see the post to see the close up of the wreath on the door!

  1. Hi! I am Liz and I blog over at Baby Got B.A.!
  2. I am a Chicago transplant living in Florida, going to school and playing in Disney when I’m not studying like a crazy person for grad school.
  3. I am a Cat Mom to Winston and Ellie May – two new kittens that have stolen my heart!
  4. I MAY have a coffee problem – especially now that grad school has started. It’s bad. For real.

Be sure to visit these ladies and their blogs! This is just a taste of how awesome they are.
